Prescriptions for success

The article as about how a girl mixed together medicine to treat her dads foot wound. She later became a pharmacist and her children are also going to college to follow in her foot steps. She says that she decided to be a pharmacist because she grew up in a town that was mostly poor and thee naighborhood pharmacy helped many people and she wanted to be apart of helping people too. She went to the University of North Carolina where they offered to a degree in Pharm D. [ a six year doctoral program for pharmacist].
People who do not have doctorial degrees can only work in mini clinics and drugstores. They treat things like streapt throat and other minor illnesses. Thee "serious" problems are usually reffered to a pharmacist.
Being a pharmacist would be cool because helping people is what i like to do. =]

A Growing Field

Farming.. farming is a great thing, but not everyone likes to farm. i think it's important to farm because many of our foods are grown. Although i don't really enjoy farming i still grow stuff. kehe.
Farming is usually a business passed down from generation to generation. Farmer's get up early in thee morning. Soo if your a "sleep-in-late" person then farming would most likley not be for you. Farmers do alot. They check on all their crops and animals every morning, afternoon , and before going to bed.
I bet farmers make alot of money, and they use most of it for watering their plants and feeding their livestock.
iim all for 0bama!!

Caring -4- the BIG GUYS

Caring for animals is important, especially if they’re endangered. Bob Rednour chose to work with animals and he says he enjoys it a lot. He works with a horse named Tupelo (a skittish racing horse). Rednour says that once Tupelo was giving birth and the baby got stuck in the birth canal. The baby horse died while Tupelo suffered tissue tears. Rednour treated her; he cleaned her wounds everyday until it got better.
Well trained animals can be dangerous too. Rednour has been kicked by a horse but he continues to work with them. He also works with other various animals such as; cows, horses, and other larger animals.
Veterinarians star their days of work usually with appointments, but most of the time they travel other places and farms to teat animals. Much of the care includes vaccinating the livestock, but they also treat wounds, diagnose diseases, treat sick animals, and help with difficult births.
OUT OF THE ORDINARY PATIENTS-
Herds of cattle, pigs, sheep, llamas, goats, and even giraffes are routine practices for veterinary practices. Rednour once treated a giraffe that became sick after filling up on treats form visitors at the small zoo, where the giraffe lived.
IM DEMAND, BUT COMPETITIVE-
There are only two dozen schools in the United States for Venetians. When veteran Johnson applied to veterinary school, there were 1,000 applicants for 70 slots. Once you get into veterinary school you study for four years to earn a doctor of veterinary medicine degree. Averages of 2,700 veterinarians graduate each year. Some vets work for universities, teaching, and providing clinical services. Zoos and large theme parks also employ vets. The average salary for a vet is $71,900. Since 1990 the numbers of vets has decreased by 25 percent.
Animals are people too. And they should be cared for by everyone.

y0u are what y0u e-mail

e-mailing. texting (txtn).. tonz of people text ALOT. The way you write your text can be a problem when it comes to school. Writing essays and other things that do with writing. Your texting techniques make you miss spell words, non-correct grammer, and you forget to abriviate. the txt "sry cnt txt ryt nw b/c m @ wrk n idk whn i gt off ill cll tom 2nyt if u wna tlk. cll l8er."
these are everyday "shortened" ways to say what you want to.
Most teens use these when it comes to writing a school paper, they seem to forget that they're not texting. Some tips to prevent this.
1. PUT YOU BOTTOM LINE IN THE SUBJECT LINE.
2.LEAD WITH THE MOST IMPORTANT INFORMATION.
3.CHOOSE YOUR CONTENT AND TONE CAREFULLY.
4.TREAT YOUR E-MAIL LIKE AN ENGLISH PAPER.
5.PROOFREAD
6.ADD A SIGNATURE TO YOUR MESSAGES.
7.RESPOND QUICKLY TO OTHER'S E-MAILS.
8.COVER ONE TOPIC PER E-MAIL.
these tips could really help. so0o0 try to use them and you'll see a huge change. =]

dont know what to do after high school??

well Debbie Grant (a high school graduate) told her teacher she didn't know what to do. Her teacher asked her what she liked to do. Debbie was a "people person". Her teacher told her that she was good at comforting people. Then she inspired Debbie to work in a hotel. On July 2007 she became the hotel manager of the InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta. A four-star luxury hotel. She did all that without having a college degree. She worked hard to achieve that goal. Employment inthe hotel industry is icreasing by 13.9%.

FACE-OFF (2 canidates. three Big issues)

Barak Obama (democrat) vs. John McCain (republican). The election for a new Prez is on November 4th. In about two weeks the U.S will choose who they believe is the best for running our country.
Many people are concerned and scared about thee future. Banks and many other businesses are short on cash. U.S troops are in Irag and Afghanistan fighting thee war. Gas prices are ridiculously rising. People are concerned about the fuel in their cars. How will they get here to there? How will they heat their homes during the winters? Voters will be thinking BIG on Election Day when they choose the next president for our country.
THE ECONOMY-
People, especially in Ohio, are worried that they’ll lose their homes and jobs. They also say that they don’t want a president who’ll make them pay more taxes because they won’t be able to pay without having a job. The two candidates have different views and each have different plans for thee U.S. Only one can change it. Obama or McCain?? Both candidates have almost the same amount of support from Ohio. Who will win Ohio on Election Day?
THE U.S WAR-
The voters’ top concerns are the troops, the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Obama says he’ll pull more troops out of Iraq within 18 months to end the war quickly. The 5 1/2 year-old war is costing to much money. $648 billion have been used for the war so far. More than 4,180 troops have lost their lives. McCain says he doesn’t like the war either. But he thinks that the troops should stay in Iraq longer, until the new government and military in Iraq are strong enough to stop the insurgents who are fighting them.
The conditions in Iraq are improving says U.S Secretary Defense, Robert Gates. But the violence is increasing in Afghanistan.
U.S citizens are also worried about Iran, and their development on nuclear programs. The leaders of Iran say that they want nuclear energy not nuclear weapons. U.S officials don’t believe them. Obama and McCain both have different views of how to handle it. Obama says he’ll talk to the leaders of Iran. McCain doesn’t say much. He just thinks that “face to face” talks show that the U.S is weak and it would empower Iran. hmmm?? I disagree.
OIL-
Oil is turned into gasoline to run vehicles and also to heat homes. When oil supplies run low because of wars and other disputes the gas prices rise. Both candidates want to change that but once again disagree on how to do it.
WHO WILL THE U.S CHOOSE??-
If I was old enough to vote….

I’m all for OBAMA!!! =]

Game On!

ugh. video games.. i wouldn't wanna be a "gamerr". yeahh i do play games. but lyk thee best games [i think] are guitar hero and rockband!! yes! i love them =]

Globs of Greeb Jobs

Global warming continues to get worst every year. Some things that cause global warming are greenhouse gasses and burning fossil fuels like oil and natural gasses. There are many ways a person can help our planet. You can get a job as a(n); Environmental protection technician (tests water, air, and soil for contaminants), Recycling specialist (finds safe, healthy ways to dispose waist), Park ranger (works to maintain healthy habitat in parks and nature preserves), Conservation biologist (uses science to understand and prevent the threats to wild life and their habitats), Alternative energy specialist (designs energy sources), engineers (works to design vehicles with lower greenhouse gas emissions), and Green architects (design homes and buildings that create less pollution and use less resources like electricity).
Scientists are scared that the future of the planet is the climate change. The gasses on Earth from vehicles and greenhouses let out carbon dioxide. The gasses build up on Earths atmosphere and that’s what’s causing the Earth to get hotter and hotter. If the Earth keeps getting hot, the climate will change. The sea levels will rise, plants and animals will die, and it’ll also cause stronger fierce storms and hurricanes.
